Why have Eye bag surgery, Cosmetic Eyelid Surgery?
- Blepharoplasty or Eye Bag removal, Eyelid Surgery is performed to remove excess skin and fat of the eyelids that causes them to give a tired/aged appearance .
- Eye bag surgery is carried out to reduce the bulging of the lower eyelids to give a more youthful look.
- Blepharoplasty or Eye Bag removal - Surgery can reshape the eyes to give a more youthful aesthetic appearance..
As we age, loss of skin elasticity and muscle strength combined with fat displacement in the eyelids causes these to bulge - Eye Bag. Hyperactive muscles around the eyes contribute to the formation of lines and wrinkles (crowsfeet). Weakness of the supporting ligaments of the eyelids can cause the eyes to become narrower and more rounded instead of wide and almond shaped eye. All of these features produce the typical tired, bulging - Eye Bag, and aged appearance to the eyes. These can cause many patients to look older or more tired than they feel. Most patients desire to have their eyes look more youthful and fresh. Belpharoplasty or Eye Bag removal - Surgery aims to give the eyes a fresh, rested more yourthful appearance which looks natural. Remember, Blepharoplasty or Eye Bag removal - Surgery will not correct the wrinkles around the eyes or improve drooping eyebrows / forehead.
In order to achieve the best rejuvenation for your eyes, other procedures may be required in conjucntion with or instead of Blepharoplasty - Eye Bag Surgery. These may include Browlift, Canthopexy, lid shortening and skin resurfacing. The type of Blepharoplasty - Eye Bag surgery required to achieve the best result for you will depend on the changes in the eyelids and the amount of excess skin and fat and will be discussed at the time of your Consultation.
Remember Blepharoplasty, Eye bag Removal, Eyelid Surgery will not change you or solve any life crises, but should boost your self-confidence and enjoyment of life.
