Ellanse

Ellanse is a unique dermal filler that works by not only immediately correcting the wrinkles and folds in the skin, but also by stimulating the body’s own natural collagen to have a long lasting, natural result. It is our recommended filler for hand rejuvenation and also has very good results for facial rejuvenation.

Ellanse is made of soft biomedical polycaprolactone micro-spheres suspended in a tailor made gel. Once injected, there are immediate visible results which remain throughout the chosen period of longevity. As Ellanse is totally bioresorbable, it will be replaced by the body’s own tissue over time and naturally reabsorbed by the body. As the gel is reabsorbed, a collagen network is left. Collagen is a natural and very important support structure in our skin, which helps to maintain tightness, elasticity and suppleness. As we age, skin loses its natural collagen gradually, which leads to facial laxity and the formation of wrinkles and folds. Ellansé utilises the body’s natural response to stimulate the generation of the body’s own collagen, a process called neocollagenesis, to restore a fresh and youthful look.

The desired correction may last from one up to four years. Ellanse gives a natural and longer lasting, but non-permanent result.

Ellanse FAQ’s
  • What makes Ellanse different from other fillers?
Ellansé™ is different from other dermal fillers as a result of Sustained Performance and Total and Controlled Bioresorbability (STAT Technology™). This means it will maintain full correction until totally eliminated from your body, after it has achieved the desired performance duration.
  • What is Ellansé™ made of?
Ellansé™ is made of polycaprolactone (PCL) microspheres which are suspended in a water-based carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) gel–carrier. Ellansé™ is a safe and clinically proven treatment.

PCL is an approved and well used soft medical material. It has an excellent safety profile and has been used in bioresorbable sutures and orthopeadic implants for several decades worldwide. PCL is also used in many European (CE-certified) and US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved bioresorbable medical devices.

CMC has an excellent safety profile. It’s been used in dermal fillers, oral and maxillo-facial surgery for several decades globally. It is also used in many CE-certified and FDA approved commercial bioresorbable products in medical, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries.

PCL and CMC are completely eliminated from the body after the desired performance duration.
