What is non surgical buttock reshaping?
Macrolane- is a smooth, pure, crystal clear non-animal hyaluronic gel which provides long lasting volume reshaping of the buttocks. Macrolane is specifically formulated for the buttock ensuring that the Macrolane product does not migrate, remaining stable and natural.
How is non surgical buttock reshaping with Macrolane performed?
Initial consultation will determine the goals of treatment, make note of any associated abnormalities or asymmetry and plan the optimum treatment to achieve the ideal result in each patient. Treatment is carried out in the out-patient setting and takes 30 – 40 minutes. A local anaesthetic injection is used to ensure that the treatment is as comfortable as possible. A small incision (2-3mm) is made on each side and the Macrolane is injected above the muscle layer. Approximately 100 - 150cc can be injected into each side to reshape the buttocks to the desired result. A short course of antibiotics will be prescribed. Additional treatments can be performed at 1 - 3 months to further reshape/enhance the buttocks.
Will Macrolane non surgical buttock reshaping be painful / cause bruising?
Minimal discomfort is expected during the treatment and no bruising should occur with the careful techniques used. Any mild bruising will usually resolve after 1 week. Your buttocks may feel tender for the first 3 – 5 days.
When will results of Macrolane Buttock Reshaping be seen?
Improvement in buttock shape and fullness will be seen immediately following treatment. Any swelling will resolve in 1 week.
How long will the result of Macrolane non surgical buttock reshaping last?
Restylane Macrolane releases hyaluronic acid gradually over a period of time, therefore the improvement in the buttock shape is expected to last from 12 – 18 months and in some patients as long as 2 years. Repeat treatments are recommended every 12 – 18 months to maintain the buttock shape as desired.
What are the side effects or risks of Macrolane Buttock Reshaping?
Mild discomfort, swelling and bruising can occur. Infection and reactions following Restylane Vital are rare.
When will I be able to return to normal activities after Macrolane non surgical buttock reshaping?
Restricted activities are advised for 2 week following treatment with Macrolane. Wearing a support garment/lycra is recommended for the first 2 weeks and then during any physical activity for a further 3 weeks.
