What is Lip Augmentation - Reshaping?
Lip enhancement – Lip augmentation – Lip reshaping, can be performed by non-surgical Restylane Lipp, Evolence or Laresse and Permanent FulFil Lip implant. Restylane Vital provides hydration from within to give a full soft youthful aesthetically luscious lips.
How is Lip Augmentation performed?
Initial consultation will determine the goals of treatment, make note of any associated abnormalities and plan the optimum Lip Augmentation - Lip Enhancement treatment to achieve the ideal result in each patient. Treatment is carried out in the out-patient setting and takes 20 – 30 minutes. A topical local anaesthetic cream and or local anaesthetic injections make the treatment as comfortable as possible. A Jet-Peel treatment is used prior to the injections which helps to hydrate the skin and speed up the results of treatment. Restylane Vital is delivered via multiple injections using a very fine needle to the area. Restylane Lipp, Evolence,or Laresse is injected into the lip margin and body to provide the desired shape and volume to achieve the ideal Lip Augmentation - Lip Reshaping.
Surgical enhancement with the FulFil Lip implants requires small incision in the corner of the mouth which are closed with fine dissolving sutures. The Lip Augmentation - Lip enhancement with the FulFil Lip implants takes 20 - 30 mins to perform in the out-patient setting.
Will the Lip Augmentation - Reshaping be painful / cause bruising?
Minimal discomfort is expected during the Lip Augmentation - FulFil Lip Implant procedure or injections with Restylane LIpp, Evolence and Laresse, treatment and no bruising should occur with the careful techniques used. Cooling of the skin before and after treatment help reduce discomfort and swelling.
When will results be seen following Lip augmentation?
With all of the techniques used - FulFil Lip Augmentation , Restylane Lipp, Evolence and Laresse immediate improvement in the lips is seen. Some swelling is expected in the first 2 – 3 days before the results are evident at 4 -5 days.
How long will the result last after Lip Augmentation?
Restylane Lipp and Laresse will provide improvement in the lips that generally lasts for 4 -6 months. Evolence is expected to last from 9 – 12 months. Repeat treatments are recommended every 6 months to maintain the improvement.
Enhancement with the FulFil Lip implant provides permanent improvement in lip shape and volume.
What are the side effects or risks following Lip Augmentation?
Mild discomfort, swelling and bruising can occur. Reactions following Restylane Lipp, Evolence and Laresse are rare.
There is a very uncommon risk of infection and loss of the implant occurs with the FulFil Lip enhancement.
