It would be highly unusual to recommend a rhinoplasty under the age of 18 as the soft tissue has not fully developed and there will be significant change between puberty and the age of 25.

Also, psychologically, younger patients may not understand the full implications of this type of surgery. Surgeons should have very good reasons to support a decision for anyone under the age of 18, for example, a congenital disfigurement.
