A new report on the numbers of women having cosmetic surgery reckons recently divorced women in their 40s form a large proportion of patients. The Daily Express reported that “Post-divorce patients see it as a confidence boost – especially if they’re looking for a new relationship.” Alimony money is also providing the finance to pay for treatments such as facelifts, liposuction and breast augmentation.

Chris Inglefield, surgeon at London Bridge Plastic Surgery, urges caution before rushing into post-divorce surgery: “Cosmetic surgery can be the ideal solution but take enough time to reach a sensible state of mind and take the advice of your surgeon.”
